Wear A Hat Day is a Hat-tastic Success!

Ad Astra Lifestyle is pleased to report that on the 28th of March, Wear A Hat Day for Brain Tumour Research took place and was hailed as a great success. People from all walks of life took part, raising money for the charity who fund crucial brain tumour research. Wear a hat day

The annual event gives people the chance to have fun and show off their creative headwear all for a good cause. Each year the hats get more imaginative and using the hashtag #HatSelfies Wear a hat day went viral, with shares and likes coming through the charity’s feeds almost non-stop on the day. This created a huge buzz about the day and text donations received this year alone totalled more than the previous five years combined.

Sue Farrington Smith, Chief Executive of Brain Tumour Research said “We are so grateful to everyone who supported our Wear A Hat Day. The generosity of everyone has been amazing and all the donations will help fund research into this terrible cancer which kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other.”

Wear a hat dayBrain Tumour Research’s vision is to find a cure for this devastating disease and are aiming to establish seven dedicated Research Centres across the UK, building the ‘critical mass’ of research team expertise needed to bring the UK to the forefront of scientific investigation.  A big step forward in reaching this goal was taken thanks to everyone who supported and got involved with the 2014 Wear A Hat Day for Brain Tumour Research.
