First Look At The New Ferrari 458 Speciale
When photos of the latest creation from the Ferrari Maranello factory landed on the desk of Lifestyle magazine they took our breath away and we had to share the story with our members.
The new Ferrari 458 Speciale is the third edition of the critically acclaimed 458 following the Italia and the Spider. the latest take on the already powerful V-8 supercar weighs 198 pounds less and has an additional 35 horsepower compared with its predecessor. This means that it accelerates faster and handles even better than before, perfect for taking advantage of an empty country road or if you you’re feeling brave, you could let it loose on the track.
To refine aerodynamics, the Ferrari Styling Centre called in the able assistance of Pininfarina. The hood gains a noticeably larger heat extractor, and a more chiseled lower fascia and grille replace the friendlier-looking openings of the original 458. Dual exhaust outlets replace the triple-exit setup of the Italia and the Spider, and a more aggressive diffuser resides just below the newly split exhaust.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is due to hit showrooms in March, just in time for Goodwood’s Supercar Sunday Breakfast Club. Lifestyle magazine can’t wait to see the Speciale in the flesh and we are sure that our Lifestyle Magazine members will be keen to get behind the wheel of this beautiful machine.
