Breitling Release The New Avenger Blackbird

Swiss watch manufacturer Breitling showcases a new addition to their Avenger line, the Avenger Blackbird. Breitling redesigned the Avenger line in 2013 to be “even more technical, functional, and sophisticated,” with a slimmer and more ergonomic case profile, aviation-style “stencil” numerals; an engraved, satin-brushed bezel with integrated rider tabs; and a lighter, titanium case back with a conversion scale for metric measurements.

Breitling Destined to be a companion on the most “extreme missions”, this newcomer to the Breitling Avenger line displays all the qualities of an instrument for professionals. The generous 48 mm case features a slimmer and ever more ergonomic profile, extended by inward curving lugs. The military theme of this watch is felt through the light feel of the fabric strap. The oversized hands and hour-markers ensure optimal legibility in all circumstances, including in the dark thanks to the luminescent coating that stands out clearly against the black background.   The colour Scheme is taken directly from the flight crew on a naval aircraft carrier.

The Breitling Avenger Blackbird is water-resistant to 300 meters and features a thick, glare proof 48mm diameter sapphire crystal face that is totally scratch resistant. This makes it the perfect watch for sailing, flying or active excursions. The video bellow highlights how the  Breitling Avenger Blackbird was designed with the navy and airforce in mind when allocating colours and themes in the design.
