Luxury hotels usually avoid calling any of their short-term projects ‘pop-ups’ for obvious reasons, which is just as well because that tired term wouldn’t work to promote the new Champagne Lounge at the Hotel du Cap – Eden-Roc.

Following the hotel’s €50million restoration (completed

luxuryback 2011), the property in Cap d’Antibes (Southern France), is continuing to enhance its offering to customers with new features and services. This summer, a section of the grounds that overlooks the Mediterranean has been remodelled to become the Eden-Roc Champagne Lounge. The photos taken from the press release show the phenomenal scenery and views available to customers who are willing to enjoy a piece of temporary luxury.

luxuryFor all of us who enjoyed the recent heatwave in the UK, the lounge’s appeal is obvious. An open-air terrace, capitalising on reliably good weather. Forecasts predict clear skies with an average daytime temperature of 30C for the next 10 days. For guests prepared to indulge, the drinks menu is equally inviting. The lounge has collaborated with 14 champagne houses across the region, to provide a varied selection of drink. The most notable inclusion on the menu is the jeroboam of Louis Roederder ‘Cristal Or’ 2002. Only 200 bottles are available worldwide and they have each been decorated with a gold coin, handmade by a luxury goldsmith.

The lounge accommodates up to 40 people at a time and is open until September 1st 2013. Now would be the perfect time to take a last minute trip to the South of France to partake in a fantastic luxury experience. To view the list of the world’s best permanent cocktail bars, produced by the Telegraph, click here.
